Celia Wright

Executive Assistant to the Chief Learning Officer

Celia is the Executive Assistant for Kristine Chadwick, Chief Learning Officer. Her previous roles include the SMART (Science, Math, and Relevant Technology) instructor for Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara, a nonprofit organization with a mission to empower all girls to be “strong, smart, and bold.”

She comes to Inflexion after 12 years at the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara, a government agency that provides affordable housing for low-income populations. She held various roles during her time at the Housing Authority, most recently as the Administrative Specialist for the Executive Management team, as well as serving as the on-site resident coordinator for supportive housing developments for the chronically homeless and youth aging out of foster care. She developed the “Earn and Learn” Youth Summer Employment Program to provide internships and skill-building opportunities in careers of individual interests, including aviation career exploration and flying lessons for youth served by the Housing Authority. This program received a 2018 National Award of Merit by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. She also developed the “Bring the Vote Home” program, with the goal of increasing voter registration and electoral education among Housing Authority clients, which received NAHRO’s 2019 National Award of Merit.

Celia earned a BA in Political Science and Sociology with a minor in Portuguese from San Diego State University. She has a certificate in Women and Leadership, and is currently pursuing an MA Human Services Administration from Antioch University.

In her free time, she enjoys going hiking with her husband and their dog, a black Labrador named Kyra, and engaging in various performing arts. While in Santa Barbara, she played drums in a rock band, and was a company dancer for a performing professional dance company. She’s also brushing up on the Spanish she knew in her childhood.
